About Us

Pontignano Sustainability Conference where Green Chemistry meets Drug Discovery & Development, the 10th transitional edition of European Workshop in Drug Synthesis (EWDSy), is a biennial congress focused on topics related to pharmaceutical chemistry, featuring experts from academia and industry from around the world. Founded by Prof. Maurizio Botta in 2006, the EWDSy hosted over the years important scientists in the field of organic and medicinal chemistry including Dennis Liotta, William Jorgensen, K.C. Nicolau, Stephen Hanessian, Karl-Heinz Altmann, Erick Carreira, Nick Turner, and Nobel Prizes such as Benjamin List.

 In this edition, leaders from both Green Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences will create a forum to discuss in details the challenges of these areas critical for the Sustainable Development.
